Tuesday, the twenty-eighth of January

Tell me about your All About Me site. What are going to be your 4 main content pages? Why did you choose those topics? What big plans do you have for your site that is going to make it different and creative?

My "All About Me" site should be much more advanced, compared to my previous ones, because I have learned the basics enough to be able to work on my creativity. My four main pages are My Family, My Interests, My Future, and My Music. I chose these subjects because they all play a big role in my life. My biggest plan for my site is to be myself. I believe I am different so it shouldn't be too difficult to reflect in my web creation.

Monday, the twenty-seventh of January

What are your thoughts on HTML code? Did you enjoy the coding activity? Do you feel like you learned anything? Explain yourself I actually did enjoy the coding activity. HTML code is interesting to me, despite how boring it does seem. I have learned at an exponential rate compared to how much I knew at any point in the past. This is a language that seems to come easier to me, at least so far, than any foreign language I have attempted to learn.

Tuesday, the twenty-first of January

Tell me about your three day weekend. How was it? What did you do? Elaborate!

Over my three day weekend I didn't do much but relax. I took a load of and watched some good ole Kansas basketball. I truly am proud of my boys in blue... and crimson. The jayhawks are playing some of the best ball this season and at the right time too. A 5-0 start in the best basketball conference in the NCAA is more than superb.

Tell me if you agree with this statement and then explain why or why not. "Images on the internet are 'free game' - if someone posted it, I should be able to use it."

I do not believe that these pictures are "free game." Even though pictures may be very easy to access, they are still somebody's work and deserve proper citation.

Monday, the thirteenth of January

What do you know about plagiarism? What do you know about plagiarism on the internet? How do web design, the internet and plagiarism all effect each other? Explain.

Plagiarism is taking credit for ideas or work for yourself when others are the true creators. Copy and past, paraphrasing with out citation, or simply taking an idea that belongs to someone and not giving them proper acknowledgement are all forms of plagiarism. This has become a bigger issue ever since the internet came about; however, the internet has also made detecting plagiarism simpler than ever. Every year, more and more teacher ask their students to turn papers into websites such as turnitin.com.

Friday, the tenth of January

What do you already know about web design? How it works? Programs you can use? Tools that exist? Anything.

Social media is about as far as I get when it comes to web design. I can choose a template and change its colors with the best of 'em; however, the coding that makes it possible is a foreign language. Starting with the early Myspace, I have progressed with the rest of the world through Facebook and on to twitter. Other than this I have never made an attempt to make a web site nor have I been taught the basics. I am an open book.
